Where is my exam?
For most students, the seat allocation is of the form xxx99,
where xxx is the lab and 99 is the computer number.
CSE Labs
The CSE Lab Map shows the location of all CSE labs:
viola and cello (together called strings),
flute, oboe,
bugle and horn (together called brass),
sitar, and kora
Are located on Level 3, Ainsworth Building (J17).bongo, tabla, lyre, chi, and help
Are located on Ground Level, CSE Building (K17).piano, organ, and clavier
Are located on Lower Ground level, next to the Physics Theatre (K14).
The doors to the Physics labs are located past the Keith Burrows Theatre.alto, and bass
Are located on First floor of the Old Main Building (K15).
The doors to the Mining labs are located in the corner of the Chancellors Garden.
For example: lyre07.
This would indicate that your exam is in the lyre lab,
and that you should sit at computer 07.
Mechanical Engineering Labs
If your seat is mea999 or meb999, your seat is in the Mechanical Engineering Labs.
mea refers to Ainsworth 203
meb refers to Ainsworth 204
Both labs are located on Level 2, Ainsworth Building (J17).
For example: meb65.
This would indicate that your exam is in Ainsworth 204,
and that you should sit at computer 65.
Mathematics and Statistics Labs
If your seat is msa99, msb99, msc99, msd99, msm99, your seat is in the Mathematics and Statistics Labs.
msa refers to Anita B. Lawrence Centre G12A (Ground Level)
msb refers to Anita B. Lawrence Centre G12B (Ground Level)
msc refers to Anita B. Lawrence Centre G12C (Ground Level)
msd refers to Anita B. Lawrence Centre G13D (Ground Level)
msm refers to Anita B. Lawrence Centre M020 (Mezzamine Level)
The labs are located on Ground Level and Mezzamine Level, Anita B. Lawrence Centre (H13).
For example: msa16.
This would indicate that your exam is in Anita B. Lawrence Centre G12A,
and that you should sit at computer 16.
SPREE/MERE Labs
If your seat is teta99, tetb99, your seat is in the SPREE/MERE Labs.
teta refers to Tyree Energy Technology LG34
tetb refers to Tyree Energy Technology LG35
The labs are located on Lower Ground Level, Tyree Building (H6).
For example: teta15.
This would indicate that your exam is in Tyree LG34,
and that you should sit at computer 16.
Consultation Rooms
If your seat is consultxxx,
where xxx is G01 or G02, 203 or 204, 402 or 403,
your seat is in a consult room with a computer.
consult rooms Are located on the Ground Level, Level 2 or Level 4 of the CSE Building (K17).
Do not sit at a computer you have not been allocated.
You must sit at the computer that is allocated to you.
Most CSE Lab computers have a sticker on the corner of the monitor that shows the computer number.
Strings and Brass Labs have a sticker on the power outlet on the desks that shows the computer number.
Lyre lab, as well as K14 labs (Piano, Organ, and Clavier) have a sticker on the desk dividers that shows the computer number.
Mechatronics Lab computers have a sticker on the base of the monitor stand that indicates the computer number.
Mathematics & Statistics labs have a sticker on the desk that shows the computer number.
SPREE/MERE Labs labs have a sticker on the corner of the monitor that shows the computer number.
If you are unsure which computer you should sit at, ask a staff member.
Do not enter the exam room until instructed to do so.
Students in Ainsworth level 3 Labs should wait in the hallway outside the lab.
Students in Ainsworth level 2 Labs should wait in the hallway outside the lab.
Students in the CSE Building Ground Level Labs should wait in the CSE lobby.
Students in the Physics Labs should wait in the outside courtyard.
Students in the Old Main Building Labs should wait in the hallway outside the labs.
Students in the Mining Labs should wait in the hallway outside the lab.
Students in the Mathematics & Statistics Labs should wait in the hallway outside the lab.
Students in the SPREE/MERE Labs should wait in the lower ground floor lobby, outside the labs.
Students in consult rooms should go to the Help Desk on Level 3 of the Ainsworth Building.
You should memorise your seating allocation before your exam
